YANA groups are forming
YANA groups are spaces for Texas LGBTQIA+ persons to meet and journey together with a focus on living easier while navigating unique community challenges. Led by Matt Trietsch, MA, LPC Associate, NCC who identifies as a gay, queer, and cis-gender male, topics covered in group will include:
- Sexual and romantic attraction to others
- Safety (emotional, physical, political spiritual)
- Shame and vulnerability
- Family dynamics (birth family, family of choice)
- Relationship dynamics (romantic, platonic, sexual, workplace)
- Spirituality and religion
- Oppressive forces
- Disclosure and coming out
Who?
YANA groups are open to persons living in Texas aged 18+. Groups are limited to 10 persons each.
When?
YANA groups meet weekly. Groups are ongoing and members are encouraged to commit to regular attendance to enable relationship development, support, and continuity.
Where?
Currently YANA groups meet online but in person groups may be offered in the future.
How much?
Each YANA group session costs $50. A one time individual intake session costing $100 is required prior to joining a group. Insurance is not accepted. Payment is charged in advance of group by credit, debit, health savings account, or flexible spending account cards.
