In group counseling, you will meet, process, and journey together with other similar souls who are seeking to live easier while navigating unique LGBTQIA+ community challenges.
Led by Matt Trietsch, MA, LPC Associate, NCC who identifies as a gay, queer, and cis-gender male, topics covered in group will include:
- Sexual and romantic attraction to others
- Safety (emotional, physical, political spiritual)
- Shame and vulnerability
- Family dynamics (birth family, family of choice)
- Relationship dynamics (romantic, platonic, sexual, workplace)
- Spirituality and religion
- Oppressive forces
- Disclosure and coming out
These groups are open to LGBTQIA+ adults, families, friends, and allies who are living in Texas. They are limited to 10 persons each.
Groups meet weekly. They are ongoing and members are encouraged to commit to regular attendance to enable relationship development, support, and continuity.
In person groups meet near Memorial Park at Memorial and Westcott.
Online groups meet, well… online and you can connect by phone, tablet, or computer. Your camera must always be on during group and you must connect from a private and secure place to protect the privacy of all.
Each group session costs $50. A one time individual intake session costing $100 is required prior to joining a group. Insurance is not accepted. Payment is charged in advance of group by credit, debit, health savings account, or flexible spending account cards.
